Land Cruiser FJ: All You Need to Know
In terms of size, the length of the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ ranges from approximately 4,575 mm to 4,610 mm depending on the specification quoted, while the width is 1,855 mm. Height is rated between 1,890 mm and 1,960 mm, and the wheelbase measures 2,580 mm. Toyota has blessed the SUV with smooth rounded edges so that it doesn’t look too aggressive. Exterior highlights include LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, part-LED tail lamps and a side-hinged tailgate with a spare wheel mounted at the rear. Interestingly, Toyota has omitted the sunroof, though buyers looking for a serious off-road SUV won’t consider this a major drawback.Inside the cabin, the FJ gets a modern yet functional layout. It includes a 12.3-inch large touchscreen infotainment system with a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch driver information display. Other key features include dual-zone automatic climate control and connected convenience features.
Land Cruiser FJ: Engine Specifications
Under the hood, the Japanese-spec model is powered by a 2.7-litre 2TR-FE naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine. The motor produces around 163 hp and the torque output is 246 Nm. Power is sent through a 6-speed automatic gearbox mated to a part-time four-wheel drive system.Toyota says the SUV has been developed with serious off-road capability in mind. The Land Cruiser FJ is built on a platform derived from Toyota’s IMV architecture and is claimed to offer wheel articulation comparable to the larger 70-series Land Cruiser.
