Citroen has released another teaser of its upcoming refreshed electric hatchback. The updated model will be called the eC3X, following the French brand’s revised naming strategy that has already been introduced on models like the C3X, Aircross X and Basalt X.The latest teaser reveals that the electric hatchback will get a significant styling refresh. While the overall silhouette is expected to remain familiar, the updated model will feature a redesigned front bumper with a silver skid plate styling element. Citroen is also expected to upgrade the lighting package by introducing LED DRLs and LED fog lamps in place of the simpler setup offered on the current eC3.Other exterior changes include a fresh set of dual-tone alloy wheels and redesigned exterior rearview mirrors with integrated turn indicators. The cabin is also likely to benefit from the addition of several features. The automaker may offer a leather finish with ambient lighting for the steering wheel and parts of the dashboard. Features like automatic climate control, cruise control with speed limiter, fast charging USB Type-C ports and auto-dimming inside the rearview mirror are also expected to be added. The current 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system is likely to be carried forward. It is expected to continue to offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Higher-spec variants can also get a 360-degree camera and a new 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster.Under the skin, no major mechanical modifications are expected from the updated electric hatchback. The eC3X is likely to keep the current 29.2 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that produces 57 PS and 143 Nm of torque. Citroen currently claims a driving range of around 320 km on a single charge, while top speed is rated at 107 km/h.Once launched, the latest Citroen eC3X will continue to compete in India’s growing mass-market electric vehicle space, taking on rivals like the Tata Punch EV and the newly updated Tiago EV.
