It looks like Mahindra is gearing up to give the Scorpio N its first major update. The SUV has once again been spotted testing. This time near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, suggesting that development work is progressing rapidly ahead of a possible launch in the coming months.Introduced in 2022, the Scorpio N has become one of Mahindra’s most popular SUVs. Recent spy photos show a heavily camouflaged test mule, but some design changes are already visible. While Mahindra has not officially confirmed the launch timeline, repeated sightings of test vehicles suggest that the updated Scorpio N could make its debut in India in the coming months.

The most noticeable update is expected at the front, where the facelifted SUV may get a redesigned grille featuring horizontal slats. The front bumper is also likely to be revised with subtle changes to the headlamp design and air intake section. On the side profile, Mahindra may introduce a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels, while minor changes to the rear bumper and tail lamps are also expected.The cabin is expected to receive more substantial upgrades. Spy shots of previous test vehicles have hinted at a dashboard layout featuring horizontal air-conditioning vents in place of the current vertical units. A large floating touchscreen infotainment system is also expected to make its way into the SUV. The new display may measure around 10.25 inches. Another major addition could be the fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster. Mahindra is also expected to expand the feature list. One of the most anticipated upgrades is the panoramic sunroof, which replaces the current single-pane unit.

Under the hood, the Scorpio N facelift is expected to remain mechanically unchanged. The SUV is likely to continue with the current 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that produces up to 200 hp, with the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine offered in several states.Transmission choices are expected to remain the same, with both manual and automatic gearbox options on offer.
