New Delhi: Delhi Capitals opener KL Rahul scored his third half-century of the IPL 2026 season to top the Orange Cap standings. His 75 against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Friday took his tally to 433 this season, eight more than Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma.Before the match in Jaipur, Rahul was outside the top five, but a 40-ball stint helped him leapfrog an array of run-scorers like Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Vibhu Suryavanshi, Henrik Klaasen and Abhishek to clinch the Orange Cap.Rahul now has 433 runs in nine matches at an average of 54.12 and a strike rate of 185.83, including 135 fifties.Suryavanshi also had a chance to go top, but a rare failure for the 15-year-old sensation – who was dismissed for just 4 runs on Friday – left the RR opener in fourth place with 404 runs from 10 games. The youngster has scored runs at an impressive strike rate of 237.64 this season, including one hundred and two fifties.Abhishek slipped to second with 425 runs in nine matches at an average of 53.12 and a strike rate of 209.35, followed by teammate Klaasen in third. Klaasen has scored 414 runs in nine matches at an average of 59.14 and a strike rate of 157.41.RCB’s talisman Kohli completed the top five with 379 runs in nine games at an average of 54.14 and a strike rate of 165.50, including three half-centuries. Gill has dropped out of the top five and is now sixth with 373 runs from eight matches.
