Zareen Khan is mourning the passing of his mother, Parveen Khan, on April 8 at the age of 65 after a long illness. Ten days after her death, the actor took to social media to write an emotional note, remembering his mother as his “first love”.“

Sharing a throwback picture from her childhood, Zareen wrote: “‘Innaa lillahi wa innaa ilayhi raji’un (To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return). My mother, my first love, my best friend, my baby, my world, my everything… 10 days since you left.”Expressing the depth of her grief, she added that words cannot capture what she is going through.“I’m not going to write long captions for the world to read because you know exactly what I’m going through right now without you. There is a constant pain and emptiness in my heart that is irreplaceable.’Zareen ended her note with a heartfelt farewell, wishing her mother peace.“Be the chhota baby you always were and enjoy the love of your parents in Jannat…Until we meet again!”.

Parveen Khan died in Mumbai at the age of 65 after battling a long illness. His last rites were performed at Versova Muslim Kabrastan in Andheri West. Confirming the news earlier, Zareen’s team said, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. This is to say that our dear Mrs. Parveen Khan, mother of Zareen Khan and Sana Khan, passed away peacefully to her heavenly abode on April 8. May Allah grant her the highest place of Jannatul.”.
