In an appearance on the ABtalks podcast, he revealed what years of treatment had done to his body. She said: “I was heavily medicated for seven years. I gained 105kg because of it, and I lost all my hair. This is fake hair; I am completely bald. This is a wig.”

Honey Singh described the extent to which her circumstances forced her to quit life altogether. After leaving the stage in the middle of the performance, he completely closed himself off. She said: “Then I called my sister and told her that something was happening to me. She said that I should still do the show. I quit halfway after singing two songs. After that, I stayed inside my house for seven years. I didn’t want my fans to see me in that state.” I locked myself inside and didn’t even meet my childhood friends. There was no communication, no phone calls, no television, no internet. People thought the devil was talking to me.’The singer emphasized that the cleanup was only the beginning of a much longer road back. “You won’t believe it, but even though I stopped doing drugs in 2014, it took me seven or eight years to recover,” he explained.
