Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has started the registration process for Class 10 and Class 12 Compartment and Improvement Examinations 2026. Eligible students can apply through HPBOSE official website hpbose.org.As per official notification, students can submit their application form till 1st June 2026 without paying late fee. After this date, candidates will have to pay a late fee of Rs.1000. Board will accept applications with late fee only till 5th June 2026.The compartment exams will be held in June and July 2026.

Who can apply for the exams?
Compartment examination is for those students who have not cleared one or more subjects in the annual board examinations.Improvement test is for students who want to improve their marks in selected subjects. HPBOSE has advised the students to fill the application form carefully and check all the details before final submission.
HPBOSE Class 10 Compartment and Improvement Exam Fee Details
Students have to pay Rs 700 per subject for class 10 compartment exam. The same fee will be applicable for the essential improvement category. Students applying for optional improvement in up to one or three compulsory subjects will have to pay ₹950.For an additional subject, the fee is fixed at Rs.700. Last date for application without late fee is 1st June 2026 while applications with late fee of Rs.1000 will be accepted till 5th June 2026.
HPBOSE Class 12 Compartment and Improvement Exam Fee Details
For Plus Two Compartment and English only test, the application fee is ₹700. Students applying to improve performance in one or more subjects will have to pay Rs.1150.Diploma holder re-appearing candidates will also have to pay Rs.700. For an additional subject, the fee is fixed at Rs.700.Last date to apply without late fee is 1 June 2026. Candidates can submit the form till 5 June 2026 with a late fee of Rs.1000.
