the issue between Vashu BhagnaniPooja Entertainment and Ramesh Taurani’s Tips have taken a new spin on the remix version of ‘Chunnari Chunnari’. After Bhagnani said that the remix violates intellectual property rights, Taurani and the makers of ‘Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai’ have finally spoken out. Ramesh Taurani has termed Vashu Bhagnani’s allegations as a “personal vendetta driven publicity campaign”.
Taurani and team wasted no time in putting up a solid rebuttal. “Recently Mr. Vashu Bhagnani has made a series of baseless allegations against us. It is clear to us that this is a personal vendetta driven publicity campaign aimed at stalling the release of our film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai,” said the official statement.

The band also shed light on their long history with Bhagnani, dating back to their 1995 collaboration on Coolie No 1. “The pageant became a huge success and gave Mr. Bhagnani a start in the industry. Over the years, we continued to extend our heartfelt support and good wishes. However, Bhagnani remained silent until now. He has decided to spread misinformation through various platforms, including social media,” the statement added.

Interestingly, the title of the film is ‘Ishq Sona Hai’, from the song originally featured in the film ‘Biwi No 1’ directed by Dhawan and produced by Bhagnani. Ramesh Taurani questions Vashu Bhagnani’s decision to file the case in the Bihar court
Regarding the legal battle that has taken place, the statements of Taurani and the team hit directly. “Suspiciously, he has also chosen to file a complaint in the Kathihar court in Bihar – over 2000 km from Mumbai. He chose to initiate legal action against everyone associated with our film instead of having a direct dialogue. We are very disappointed and disheartened by Mr. Bhagnani’s behaviour. We request people not to pay for this negativity. We maintain that we are the absolute and legal owners of the songs Chunnari Chunnari and Ishq Sona Hai.” As the matter is before the courts, the band made it clear that they would not make any further public statements on the matter, signing off, “We have full faith in the legal system of our country and are confident that justice will prevail.”Despite the ongoing legal battle, ‘Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai’ will hit theaters on June 5, 2026 as scheduled.
