Virat Kohli The young Lucknow Supergiants pacer shared a heartwarming moment with Prince Yadav after dismissing the RCB superstar for a silver duck with one IPL 2026 delivery on Thursday night.Playing in a rain-shortened 19-over match at the Ekana Stadium, Prince produced a sensational 140.4 kmph nip-backer that completely outclassed Kohli during RCB’s chase. The ball took a sharp backward turn after pitching, swung more than 1.4 degrees, stuck through the narrow gap between bat and pad, and smashed off-stump, leaving a stunned Kohli as the LSG camp erupted in celebration. The dismissal took on added significance as it was Kohli’s first duck in the IPL since 2023 and his first wicket in a run chase in nine years. The previous occasion came during the infamous match against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2017 where RCB were bowled out for just 49 runs at the Eden Gardens.
Prince played a match-winning role for Lucknow Supergiants, finishing with figures of 3/33 as LSG defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by nine runs via the DLS method to keep their play-off hopes alive.Despite being dismissed, Kohli was later seen having a pleasant post-match chat with Prince and LSG bowling coach Bharat Irwin. The former RCB captain appeared relaxed, laughing during the conversation and even putting his hand on Prince’s shoulder, apparently praising the youngster for bowling so brilliantly. What made the moment even more special was Prince’s revelation after the game. The 24-year-old fast bowler revealed that the wicket came from a tip that Kohli himself gave him after the previous LSG match.

Was Prince Yadav’s delivery against Kohli the best in IPL history?
“I misfielded the first ball, but I knew I had to put it behind me and make sure I didn’t lose focus,” Prince said after the match. “After the last match I was talking to Virat Bhaiya and he just told me, as long as it’s going off a length, stick to that length.”
