VinFast India today launched the new VinFast VF MPV 7 Electric MPV in the Indian market with prices starting at Rs 24.49 lakh. Bookings for EV MPV have started. Interested customers can book the EV MPV online or by visiting their nearest dealership, and deliveries are expected to begin soon. The launch is part of VinFast’s global expansion plans and reflects its focus on India’s growing electric vehicle market, particularly the MPV segment. The VinFast VF MPV 7 will compete against other three-row models like the Kia Carens Clavis EV, BYD eMax7 and Mahindra XEV 9S.The new VF MPV 7 comes with benefits including three years of free maintenance, free charging till March 31, 2029, seven years of vehicle warranty, 10 years of battery warranty, up to 75 percent assured buyback, seven years of free roadside assistance and additional ICE-to-EV transition support. Talking about the battery first, the VinFast VF MPV 7 is powered by a 60.13 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor that delivers 201 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. It has a claimed range of 517 km on a full charge and can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 10 seconds. The EV gets 11 kW AC charging and 80 kW DC fast charging. Using a DC fast charger, the VF MPV 7’s battery can be charged from 10 to 70 percent in about 30 minutes.
Design-wise, the VinFast VF MPV 7 has a boxy, upright design similar to the VF6 and VF7, adapted for MPV proportions. It gets vertically stacked LED headlamps and a full-width LED light bar at the front with a clean bumper design centered with the VinFast logo. The side profile is defined by a longer wheelbase, extended roofline and large glass area, 19-inch aero-optimized alloy wheels and thin black cladding around the wheel arches and lower doors. The India-spec model may get smaller 18-inch wheels for better comfort, and additional chrome elements are also expected to be added.Going inside, the EV MPV will get a functional cabin layout that focuses on space and usability, with a minimal dashboard. It uses leather upholstery and soft-touch materials, with metallic accents and a two-tone finish. It will feature a seven-seat layout with three rows, with electric adjustments for the front seats and second row seats. Boot space is expected to vary with seat configuration, allowing expansion to around 1,240 liters with the rear seats folded down. At the rear, it continues with a full-width LED light bar similar to the DRLs at the front, paired with a simple tailgate and a black-finish bumper.In terms of features, the EV MPV gets a large 10.1-inch touchscreen that doubles as an instrument cluster, HUD display, connected car tech, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, automatic climate control, PM2.5 air filter, reverse camera, wireless phone charger, safety B, multiple control EBS, control EBS, safety B, control EBS, controllability features.
