Responding to the situation, Dream Warrior Pictures and SR Prabhu shared a joint Instagram post that carried a detailed legal notice.The statement read: “I am a consultant to Dream Warrior Pictures, the Production House of the Tamil feature film ‘Karuppu’ and I am issuing this Public Notice on the instructions and on behalf of my client. My client is the producer and copyright holder of the film Karuppu, a big budget feature film starring Suriya, Trishna Krishnan and RJ Balaji, directed by RJ Balaji and composed by Abajkari and with music composed by Abajkari. The film is being produced at an investment of hundreds of crores. is The film holds strong theatrical, satellite, OTT, overseas and commercial and was slated for a huge worldwide release in over 20 countries and around 3,000 screens worldwide.”The statement added, “The general public is therefore strictly cautioned and advised not to download, receive, access, store, circulate, forward, display or share any unauthorized content related to Karuppu movie in any manner. From now on, any person involved in these activities will have to face immediate legal action, including civil and criminal proceedings, before the relevant authorities and courts, at their own risk in terms of costs and consequences.
