New Delhi: Vibhu Suryavanshi on Tuesday added another chapter to his extraordinary IPL 2026 season, scoring a record-breaking 93 off just 38 balls against Lucknow Supergiants in Jaipur in an innings that further cemented his status as the tournament’s breakout star.At just 15, the Rajasthan opener has turned every out into a record chase, and his latest foray while chasing 221 was no different. Although he fell painfully short of a second century that season, the youngster still went on to reach and break a remarkable list of milestones. Fastest under 500 and eliteSuryavanshi became the youngest player in IPL history to score 500 runs in a season, surpassing Rishabh Pant, who set the previous mark at the age of 20 for Delhi in 2018.He now has 574 runs in IPL 2026, and more impressively, has done so at a strike rate of 236.3, the highest ever for a batsman with over 500 runs in an IPL season.That number puts him ahead of some of the most explosive campaigns in league history, including Andre Russell’s 204.8 in 2019 and Abhishek Sharma’s 202.0 this season.
