While the 50-year-old actress attended the event with her children, Brad Pitt did not show up.

According to TMZ, Pitt did not contact or visit his daughter Zahara to celebrate her achievement. “Nothing stopped him from showing up for her. Or ever visiting. It was all he got for the day. Whether he was ready to go or not,” he reported from the outlet, and that Jollie and Zahara’s siblings have always defended him during the four special years. Also, Brad Pitt didn’t contact anyone to get his ticket to the graduation that took place over the weekend.

Zahara Jolie dropped ‘Pitt’ from her official name

Zahara recently graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology on May 17, 2026. Despite being listed as “Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt” for the commencement program on the university’s official website, she reportedly dropped the “Pitt” part of her name. Previously, when she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at her college, she introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie in 2023.

About siblings who don’t use Pitt

Interestingly, Zahara is not the only Jolie-Pitt sibling who dropped their father’s last name from their official name. Shiloh filed a petition to legally change her name, while Vivienne addressed her name as ‘Vivienne Jolie’ when she starred in the musical adaptation of ‘The Outsiders’. Meanwhile, Maddox Jolie publicly dropped Pitt from her name while getting credits for working as an assistant director on her mother’s film ‘Couture’.
