AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) is expected to announce the results of Class 12 and Class 10 exams next week, ending the long wait of around 15.28 lakh students across the state. According to sources, the Class 12 Science and General Streams results will be declared on May 4, while the Class 10 results are likely to be out on May 6. An official announcement is expected soon.This year’s timeline closely follows last year’s pattern. In 2025, Class 12 Science, GUJCET and General Stream results were announced on May 5, followed by Class 10 results on May 8. Notably, the results were declared a day after the NEET exam, and a similar trend is expected this year. NEET 2026 is scheduled for May 3, after which the board is expected to make an official announcement.The board conducted the 10th and 12th class exams from February 26 to March 18. A total of 15,27,724 students registered, including 9,07,175 Class 10 students. These included 7,69,994 regular candidates, 19,825 private candidates, 70,706,428 private separate and 9,07,175 repeat students. CandidatesFor the Class 12 general stream, 5,01,286 students registered, including 4,37,279 regular, 35,174 private, 15,813 repeaters, 7,873 private repeaters and 5,147 separate candidates. In the science stream, 1,19,263 students appeared, including 1,11,294 regular candidates, 7,690 repeaters and 279 separate candidates.Immediately after the exams were over, the assessment work started. The board established 454 assessment centers and deployed 75,821 teachers. Of these, 213 centers with 39,962 teachers examined the 10th class papers while 172 centers with 29,804 teachers examined the 12th general stream. Additionally, 69 centers with 9,055 teachers handled the Class 12 Science assessment.Along with class 12 science results, GUJCET 2026 results will also be declared on May 4. About 1.32 lakh students out of 1.36 lakh registered candidates appeared in the entrance exam held on March 29 for engineering and pharmacy admissions.After all the evaluation process is completed, the board is now finalizing the preparations for the declaration of results.
