SUVs with ventilated seats under Rs 12 lakh: Hyundai Venue, Nexon and more

Ventilated seats, once limited to high-end cars, are now offered in more affordable models as automakers add comfort features to lower-priced segments. Rising temperatures and time spent in traffic have contributed to this change, making such features more relevant for everyday use. These additions are now available in multiple body styles, including hatchbacks and compact SUVs, without significantly increasing cost. For buyers dealing with heat and long journeys, ventilated seats provide added comfort. In this article, let’s take a look at the cars under Rs 12 lakh in India that come equipped with ventilated seats.

The first SUV on the list is the Renault Kiger, which gets ventilated seats in the top-spec Emotion trim priced at Rs 8.4 lakh (ex-showroom). Highlights include 16-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers, LED fog lamps, automatic headlamps, 8.0-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7.0-inch configurable digital instrument cluster, 6-speaker Arkamys, soundless control system, 6-speaker, soundless control system, Defogger, a cool glove box, ambient interior lighting, remote engine start (Turbo variant), ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers and more. It has three engine options – a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine.

Next is the Skoda Kylaq which gets ventilated seats in the top-spec Prestige trim priced at Rs 11.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Other features include 17-inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, powered front seats, 10-inch touchscreen, auto AC, cruise control and more. The Kylaq is powered by a single 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine with 115 hp of power and 178 nm of torque.

Next up is Hyundai which gets ventilated seats from the HX8 trim priced at Rs 11.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Features highlights include a 4-way power driver’s seat, electronic parking brake with auto hold, automatic headlights, automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, connected car tech, over-the-air (OTA) vehicle updates, an electric sunroof, a 10.25-inch infotainment and Apple Autoless touchscreen, and more. It has three engine options – a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine.

Next is the Kia Syros which gets not only front but also rear ventilation. Front ventilated seats are available from the HTX trim starting at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). However, rear ventilation is offered only in the top-spec HTX Plus (O) variant. It has two engine options – a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol that produces 120hp of power and 172Nm of torque. It is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. The second engine is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel with 115hp of power and 250Nm of torque.

Next on the list is the Tata Nexon priced at a little over Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). Ventilated seats are available with Fearless Plus PS trim. Engine options include a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. This trim is also offered with a CNG option, making it the cheapest model in its segment to feature ventilated seats.
