The highly anticipated rural sports drama ‘Peddi’ starring a global star Ram Charan and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on June 4. As part of the promotions, the team held a press meet on Monday (May 25) in Bengaluru. Ram Charan, Kannada superstar Shiva RajkumarJanhvi Kapoor and producer Venkata Satish Kilaru were present at the event. Shiva Rajkumar in his ‘Peddi’ role
Shiva Rajkumar spoke emotionally about his role in ‘Peddi’. NTV Telugu reported, “I always choose characters that are close to my heart. Gournayudu is one such role too. It has a strong purpose and a meaningful journey. Director Buchi Babu has crafted it beautifully.” He added that his character works as a coach in the story and plays an important emotional role. He also said: “Peddy’s journey is unique, and many characters enter his path, making the story richer.According to him, the emotional bond between his character and Ram Charan will be the highlight of the film.
Shiva Rajkumar’s high praise for Ram Charan
Shiva Rajkumar did not hold back in praising Ram Charan’s performance. He said, “I am sure Ram Charan will get it National Award for this film. He worked with full dedication for almost two and a half years.” He further added, “The way he transformed his body and brought the character to life is amazing. He gave complete honesty to the role.” He also appreciated the director Buchi Babu Sana, saying that the film has been made as the story demanded. Shiva Rajkumar also suggested that the climax of the film will be a big surprise experienced only in theatres.

Shiva Rajkumar also shared that he builds his characters carefully after discussing with the directors and prefers meaningful roles. She is currently working on a biopic titled ‘Gummadi Narsaiah’ and is also a part of ‘Jailer 2’ alongside Rajinikanth. Meanwhile, Ram Charan also spoke emotionally at the event, saying that working with Shiva Rajkumar was a dream come true for him. He termed ‘Peddi’ one of the most honest films of his career and assured that the team worked with complete sincerity to deliver a memorable cinematic experience.
