Maneesh Sharma has opened up about working with Shah Rukh Khan for ‘Fan’
While talking to The Indian Express, acclaimed director Maneesh Sharma celebrated 10 years of ‘Fan’ and also spoke about what the filmmaking process was like for him. Not only that, he also touched on how Shah Rukh Khan was on the sets. He remembered and praised King Khan for how he managed to bring the dual characters on screen to life and do due justice to the story. Although the film was not a huge success when it was released, it is still remembered by many across the country. He recalled, “What Shah Rukh brought aria it is truly unique. During our many discussions, he kept adding very intricate details to Aryan’s character. For instance, the moment in the wedding sequence where the businessman shuts Arya down was Shah Rukh’s idea.He also revealed that there were many moments where it was SRK who improvised and brought much more personality to the set. “These small, subtle moments are so hard to explain, but you can feel the vulnerability he brought to the performance, and he did it with such gravitas,” he added.
The plot of ‘Fan’
The film revolves around Gaurav who is obsessed with Bollywood legend Aryan Khanna, with whom he also bears some resemblance. He watches, however, when the superstar he loved rejects him to his face, he hatches a plan to get revenge.
