Salman Khan pokes fun at Varun Dhawan over ‘Chunari Chunari’ remake
According to the Hindustan Times report, Salman Khan’s surprising presence was the biggest talking point of the evening. Dressed in a black T-shirt, leather jacket and jeans, Salman instantly recalled his signature style of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Videos of his arrival and interactions with the father-son duo quickly surfaced on social media. The moment sent the internet into a frenzy when Salman addressed the crowd with a special jab at Varun. He was heard to say “Isne mera ek aur gaana uthaya” instantly drawing laughter from everyone in the room. A visibly flustered Varun could only reply with “Bahi rehne do”, begging Salman to stop, which made it funnier. The note refers to the recreation of ‘Chunari Chunari’, 1999’s ‘Biwi No. 1’ the beloved song which originally featured Salman Khan along with Sushmita Sena. The song remains one of the most iconic numbers associated with Salman to this day. This is not the first time that Varun has pulled from Salman’s back catalogue; she has previously appeared in the remakes of ‘Chalti Hai Kya 9 Se 12’ and ‘Oonchi Hai Building’.
