FWICE has withdrawn the non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh with immediate effect following the intervention of IMPPA, Producers Guild and CINTAA. The postponement came after Ranveer sent a legal notice to the body. Controversy arose ever since Farhan Akhtar’s exit from Don 3 due to creative differences and production delays.

According to PTI, the delay came after the intervention of Film Producers Association of India, Producers Guild of India and Cine & Television Artistes Association. “We are withdrawing our non-co-operative directive with immediate effect following a request by IMPAA, producers’ guild and CINTAA. We have been told that we should all sit together with the producers’ body and take a proper decision where neither producers and directors nor actors face any problem,” FWICE president BN Tiwari told reporters. He also added, “No one has won or lost in this matter. Our legal department will respond to his legal notice.”

This development comes hours after Ranveer was slapped with a legal notice at FWICE over his non-directive partnership last month. According to the actor, he sent the notice on Tuesday, although the details of what he received have not yet been made public. What initially appeared to be a straightforward casting change has since become a significant legal issue, with Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment seeking damages of ₹45 million and FWICE issuing a non-cooperation directive against the actor.

After the ban was imposed, Ranveer’s spokesperson responded with a statement, making it clear that the actor had no intention of fueling ongoing speculation and preferred to keep professional matters behind closed doors. “During the recent developments surrounding ‘Don 3’, he has consciously chosen to remain silent as he believes that professional discussions and personal equations are handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect,” reads part of the statement.
