Ranbir Kapoor ‘Ramayana’ is gearing up for release and last month, the makers unveiled the first look of the Lord Ram starrer. Ahead of the theatrical release of ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ this Diwali, Ranbir has mapped out a plot in Ayodhya. The deal, worth nearly 3.31 million euros, covers a 2,134 square meter plot of land, a 75-hectare riverside project located next to the Sarayu River. Talking about this development, Ranbir said in a statement, “I believe that Ayodhya has chosen me, and I have just answered this call.” “Ayodhya is deeply rooted in our history and is a critical part of our cultural fabric. This land became my gateway to becoming part of my family’s legacy,” he added.Ayodhya has seen a tremendous rise in tourism and pilgrimage in recent years. According to government estimates, the number of visitors jumped from around 5.75 million before the construction of the Ram temple to around 23 million between January and June 2025 alone. Recently, at the premiere of ‘Ramayana’ in LA, Ranbir talked about playing Lord Ram. It enlightens us about the human spirit when it comes to misfortunes. It represents compassion, courage, righteousness and forgiveness.
