According to The Economic Times, ‘Panchayat’ Season 5 was announced as part of Amazon Prime Video’s new Indian content slate, and the show will be aired on the platform. No exact release date has been announced yet, but a 2026 release window is confirmed. The new season will once again follow Abhishek Tripathi, played by Jitendra Kumar, as he deals with life in Phule. Abhishek’s journey from an engineering graduate to a panchayat secretary remains central to the story. Season 5 is expected to bring in Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Sanvikaa, Faisal Malik and Chandan Roy.The series comes from The Viral Fever. The show is written by Chandan Kumar and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra. The makers have built ‘Panchayat’ around simple humour, village politics and emotional conflict.

Season 5 will continue the story from the events of Season 4. The previous season ended with Abhishek clearing the CAT exam and expressing his feelings for Rinki.
