ONGC Merit Scholarship 2025-26 invites applications for professional courses before the last date of May 15.

ONGC Merit Scholarship 2026: ONGC Merit Scholarship Scheme 2025-26 is now open for application and provides financial assistance to students belonging to economically weaker sections to pursue vocational education. The online application process was started on 1st April 2026 and will continue till 15th May 2026 till 6 PM.Run by the ONGC Foundation, this scholarship scheme will provide benefits to citizens of India who are currently studying or planning to study in the first year of a full-time professional course such as Engineering, MBBS, MBA, Geology, and Geophysics. A maximum of 2,000 scholarships will be distributed to eligible candidates.Eligibility criteria and quotaApplicants need to score at least 60 marks or 6.0 CGPA in their last qualifying examination. The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 30 years while applying for the scholarship program. The scholarship scheme also has income restrictions where a family income of Rs 4.5 lakh and Rs 2 lakh per annum is applicable for SC/ST and OBC/GEN/EWS categories respectively.Half quota of the total number of scholarships is reserved for girl candidates.Courses offered and application procedureThe scholarship is available for students pursuing Engineering, MBBS, MBA, Geology and Geophysics courses. Eligible applicants must be registered and apply through the National Scholarship Portal, which is scholarship.gov.in.This includes submitting one’s academic record, proof of income, and other necessary documents. However, only those students who are enrolled in the first year of these courses can apply for it.Conditions for Financial Aid and RenewalEach of the selected applicants will get Rs 48,000 per annum. Funds will be remitted annually through direct bank transfer facility. Scholarships are renewable each year, provided students perform satisfactorily, earning 60 marks or better.According to the ONGC Foundation, for any student to be eligible for the scholarship program, the criteria must be met every year.Timeline and important dates.Application portal opened on 1st April 2026 at 11:00 AM. Last date for submission of applications is 15 May 2026. Candidates must complete the application process within this period to be considered for selection. Students are advised to check the eligibility conditions carefully and submit correct information on the portal before the last date.
