The first look at the live-action reboot of the new series ‘Scooby-Doo: Origins’ is here! After teasing fans with its new cast of young talent, Netflix released a first look at its star — the pup playing the iconic crime-fighting dog.The streaming platform unveiled a stunning first look at the dog and also shared a short teaser giving a glimpse of the first meeting between the iconic Great Dane and a young Shaggy. The clip, which begins from the dog’s point of view, shows an instant bond between Shaggy and Scooby that would set the stage for a lifelong friendship.

Scooby-Doo: Origins, coming to Netflix in 2027!” It was shared with what it says.The series, which is currently filming in Atlanta, will differ from previous on-screen portrayals as it will be the first time a real dog will portray Scooby-Doo, rather than relying on CGI animation.Series Mystery Inc. will have a new team, Maxwell Jenkins Fred Jones, Tanner Hagen Norville “Shaggy” Rogers, Abby Ryder Fortson Velma Dinkley and McKenna Grace Daphne Blake. Actor Paul Walter Hauser will also appear in an undisclosed role.

The first look has left the Internet divided, with some fans smitten with the pup, while others blasted the decision to cast an actual pup as it would take away from the character’s classic quirks. One fan said: “One of the best running gags in Scooby Doo has always been dressing up Scooby as a human and everyone going along with it, treating him like a person using a real dog takes so much of the fun, whimsy and camp out of the character.“Others defended the puppy’s casting, saying, “To all those freaking out…this is a prequel series… It’s supposed to be a Scooby puppy… this is a chocolate Great Dane puppy.”Another shared screenshots of old movies from the franchise and said, “Nothing will ever come close to these Scooby-Doo movies.”
