Tamil superstar Suriya‘Karuppu’ continues to be a decent number at the box office as the film added Rs 53 lakh on Monday from its May 15, 2026 release. Directed by RJ Balaki, the film also features Tirsha Krishnan as the female lead.
‘Karuppu’ fourth week countdown
According to trade analyst Sacnilk, Monday collected Rs 53 lakh on a working day, seeing a decline of 18.8% compared to Sunday. Although the film is set for digital release soon, it has collected good numbers. It added 1.75 million on fourth Sunday, 1.47 million on fourth Saturday and 83 million on fourth Friday. The film’s Monday occupancy is 19% as the day’s top total is 48 lakhs. Meanwhile, the Telugu version made Rs 5 lakh with 18% occupancy.
‘Karuppu’ weekly collection issues
The film earned over 113.85 crores in its first week and then added 54.30 crores in its second week. Ending another week with good numbers, the film earned 21.20 crores in its third week.The gross collection of the film in India is 224.15 crores and the net collection in India is 193.93 crores.Also, on Monday, the film made Rs 10 lakh in the international market and brought its total to Rs 80.70 crore. With this, the worldwide collection is 304.85 million euros.Recently, the makers announced that the film is gearing up for an OTT release on June 12 in multiple languages. In Telugu, the film is released under the title ‘Veerabhadrudu’.
