The famous singer-songwriter recently launched a new chat on his official website. During this time, a comment about Nicki Minaj written under Petras name was posted in the chat room. While many people debated how and why the 33-year-old made the comment online, the singer was quick to clarify.Her reps released a statement to PEOPLE saying it wasn’t the singer, but that her website had been hacked. The statement added: “Kim Petras launched a new chat feature on her website yesterday where users wanted to protect her name, but this morning someone other than Kim was able to write her name and stuff without her knowledge or approval. Kim has been in Miami working today and has not yet had a chance to log into the website and interact with fans in person. The chat feature has been disabled and removed from the website until the issue is resolved.

To connect directly with his fans, Petras launched the feature to talk to them. While chatting with her fans in the newly launched public chatroom, fans suddenly noticed that a user who was opening under the official name of Petras started commenting negative things about famous rapper Nicki Minaj.While discussing her latest album ‘Detour’, the comment below Petras’ name read: ‘We need to get this song off my lady beast. [discography]what do you think”. Minaj and Petras previously performed on the track ‘Alone’ from her 2023 album ‘Feed the Beast’.Many people at the time believed the comment was due to alleged bad blood between the two musicians. Last December, the ‘Anaconda’ singer criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom for his ‘trans kids’ comment. She posted: “Imagine a trans boy trying to see kids. Haha. Not even a trans ADULT would do that. Normal adults wake up and think they want to see HEALTHY, SAFE, HAPPY kids.” A day later, Petras also posted something on her social media saying “trans kids r healthy btw.“
