The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Kerala has announced the results of the Kerala Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) Plus Two on 26th May. Education Minister General N Shamsuddin announced the results after the completion of the examination process for Class 12 students at centers in Kerala and abroad. This year, the results covered students from 2005 schools located in Kerala, Lakshadweep, and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Around 4.25 lakh students appeared for the exam under Kerala Board of Public Examination (KBPE).
Kerala DHSE Plus Two Result 2026 Performance
A total of 3,72,423 students appeared in the examination in the regular higher secondary category. Of these, 2,09,398 students qualified for higher education. The overall pass percentage this year was 77.97 percent, slightly higher than last year’s 77.81 percent.
Kerala DHSE Say exam 2026
Students who were unable to clear one or more subjects in the Kerala Plus Two examination will be allowed to appear in the Save a Year (SAY) examination. According to the board, students who registered for the March 2026 Higher Secondary Examination, including regular and compartmental candidates, can apply for the SAY examination to improve their grades and get D+ or above in failed subjects. Second year regular students who have already qualified for higher studies can also apply to improve marks in a single subject. Application form for SAY exam will not be available online. Students have to collect the form from their respective schools and submit the filled application to the school principal. Official notification regarding SAY and improvement examinations will be issued through HSE portal. Last year, the Kerala KBPE SAY exams were held from June 23 to June 27, and the results were declared on July 18.
Kerala DHSE Revaluation and Scrutiny Process 2026
Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply:
- Re-evaluation
- Photocopy of answer script
- Scrutiny of answer sheets
The board has informed that applications for re-evaluation, photocopy and verification will start from 26th May 2026. However, retesting and testing will not be available for the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics papers of the March 2026 examination. After the re-evaluation process is completed, the updated mark sheet issued by the board will be considered as the final result. Detailed notification and application process will be available on official HSE portal. The board also informed that the examinations held in the centers of the Gulf region have been canceled due to the rising tension in the conflict-affected region. Students are advised to regularly visit the official websites, namely keralaresults.nic.in and results.kite.kerala.gov.in, for updates on SAY exams, revaluation, and other Kerala Board announcements.
