Suriya and Trisha Krishnan starrer ‘Karuppu’ has continued its theatrical journey with a noticeable drop in daily collections. The fantasy entertainer has completed almost three weeks in cinemas. The latest trends, however, indicate that the film is entering the final phase of its theatrical run.
20-day gains show another decline
According to Sacnilk estimates, ‘Karuppu’ earned 1.55 crores on its 20th day in India. The latest figure is lower than the previous day’s earnings of 2.05 million. The decrease is 24.4%.The film’s net collection in India has reached 188.45 crores. Meanwhile, the gross collection in India has increased to 217.87 crores.
The total worldwide is close to 300 million
‘Karuppu’ added Rs 50 lakh overseas on day 20. The film’s total overseas gross now stands at Rs 79.25 crore. Along with the domestic earnings, the worldwide gross collection has touched 297.12 crores. The latest figure places the film close to 300 million euros worldwide.Among all language versions, Tamil was the strongest contributor on day 20. The version generated Rs 1.25 crore from the net collection in India. The Telugu version contributed 30 lakhs.Occupancy figures also showed a greater response in subsequent performances. The Tamil version registered an overall occupancy of 15.15 percent.Night shows had the highest audience participation with 17.23 percent. Morning performances were relatively lower.
