‘Karuppu’ is expected to drop on weekdays on the 15th
On day 15, the film collected ₹3.25 crore in India, according to Sacnilk from 3,024 shows. This represents a decrease of 34.3 percent compared to the previous day’s 4.95 million. Even with this drop, the film continues to show stability in overall earnings.The net collection in India has now reached 171.40 crores. Meanwhile, India’s gross is 198.28 crores.
Foreign contribution strengthens ‘Karuppu’ worldwide
International markets added 1.75 million euros on the 15th day. This took the overseas gross to 75.75 crore so far. The worldwide gross has reached 274.03 million. The film is now close to the 275 crore mark worldwide.
Occupancy trends of Suriya movie
The Tamil 2D version registered an overall occupancy of 26.22 percent. Evening and night shows performed better compared to morning and evening slots. The Telugu version had a lower overall occupancy of 12.23 percent.Tamil Nadu remains the strongest contributor to the state-level breakdown. It accounts for most of the daily earnings. Other regions such as Andhra Pradesh-Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and rest of India contributed lower numbers collectively.The film also attracted attention due to the legal proceedings. A Public Interest Litigation was filed in the Madras High Court seeking restrictions on the film. He cited concerns about the portrayal of a corrupt judiciary.
