‘Blast’, protagonist Arjun SarjaAbhirami and Preity Mukhundhan has shown tremendous growth on the second day at the box office. Directed by debutant filmmaker Subash K. Raj, the martial arts entertainer released on 28 May.
‘Blast’ day 2 collection has seen a growth of 56 percent
According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 1.95 crore on Day 2 in India from 1,889 shows. This represents a whopping 56 percent increase to Rs 1.25 crore.With the latest numbers, the film’s India net collection has risen to 3.20 crores, while its India gross stands at 3.67 crores. The number of shows also increased from 1,728 on Day 1 to 1,889 on Day 2.
The Tamil version of ‘Blast’ brings an overall performance
The Tamil version collected Rs 1.60 crore with 35 percent occupancy in 1,167 shows.The Telugu version added Rs 35 lakh from 722 shows with 18 percent occupancy.State data also shows Tamil Nadu leading the charts on Day 2 with a gross of Rs 1.40 crore. Andhra Pradesh-Telangana followed with Rs 40 lakh while Karnataka and Kerala added smaller contributions.
Occupancy trends at ‘Blast’ show heavy evening rush
The Tamil 2D release registered an overall occupancy of 39.60 percent on Day 2. Morning shows started off 15.69 percent lower, but audience participation improved significantly as the day progressed.Evening occupancy was 36.08 percent, while evening and night shows reached 46.15 percent and 59.62 percent, respectively.
‘Blast’ actors, action blocks gain attention
Arjun Sarjak not only plays Rajaraman but Abhirami as Neelaveni, Preity Mukhundhan as Nila and Arjun Chidambaram as Abraham.ETimes, in its review, stated, “The best of Blast, however, lies in the small details.
