Heng took four wickets after Kishan’s 91 as Sunrisers Hyderabad crushed Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.After sealing the resounding victory for SRH, a fan approached Kavya Maran and offered her flowers in celebration. He smiled, accepted the gesture, and said “thank you.”Debutants Henge and Hussain picked up four wickets each as Sunrisers Hyderabad ended the winning streak of table-toppers Rajasthan Royals in emphatic fashion.On a surface where the odd ball was intercepted, Kishan hit 91 off 44 balls, hitting eight fours and six sixes to take SRH to 216/6. Anything offside was punished with absolute and wide ease, while short balls were dispatched with authority, helping the skipper to his 19th over. The Nagpur fast bowler, who was initially in line to make his debut but missed out, scripted a fairytale as he became the first bowler in IPL history to take three wickets in the opening over. He decimated RR’s formidable top order, which included the removal of Vibhu Suryavanshi for a duck, to finish with 4/34.
Hussain, who hails from Gopalganj in Bihar, provided the finishing touch with a brilliant 4/24 as Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for 159 in 19 overs.SRH’s bold move of fielding two debutants in place of experienced campaigners turned out to be a masterstroke. The win was their second in five matches and moved them to fourth place in the points table.Henge made an immediate impact, dismissing Suryavanshi on the very first ball of his spell – something not even the top pacer had done this season. Trying to pull, Suryavanshi celebrated by giving the ball to wicketkeeper Salil Arora.The spell only got better when Heng cut Dhruv Jorle onto his stumps on the very next delivery, before Luan Dre-Pretorius pounced on straight long leg. From the other end, Hussain also struck early, dismissing Yashaswi Jaiswal with a well-directed short ball.The devastation deepened when Heng removed RR captain Ryan Parag with a fine outswinger, reducing the inaugural champions to five wickets inside three overs.With the match slipping away, Ravindra Jadeja and Donovan Ferreira put together a crucial partnership to stabilize the innings and avoid a major loss of net run rate. His stand ensured that RR crossed 49, avoiding the lowest total in IPL history.The duo added 118 runs for the sixth wicket – RR’s highest for the position – with Ferreira reaching his maiden IPL fifty in just 31 balls.
