Speaking to News18, the actor said, “It is very important to be best friends with your partner. When you have that friendship, everything works well. If there is friendship, you will always be there for that person, you would love to spend time with them. You would want to do everything together. As a result, you will never be in a situation where you want to rest.”“In our case, my friends are his friends and his friends are my friends. We all go on trips together,” added Rakul. Their bond goes beyond friendship as he describes their union as an equal partnership where personal identity is never compromised. “Our marriage is one of equals and that’s very important. There’s tremendous respect for our individual personalities. We’re each other’s cheerleaders and we’re happy to see each other grow,” Rakul said.

So, has marriage brought any changes to their daily routine? Well, it was, especially at bedtime. “Partner ke liye lo schedule toh change karna hi padhta hai. There is no choice. Jackky did it to me. He wasn’t really a night person but he used to sleep around 2:30. And I used to sleep at 10:00 PM. Now we’re halfway there and we go to bed at eleven,” he told us.

Rakul went public with their relationship in October 2021 with a simple but sweet photo of the two walking hand-in-hand in a park. Looking back on their early days together, she fondly remembers making an effort to spend time with him, literally. “I’ve traveled across cities for a date and that too to London. It was a four-hour date. This was in the early stages of our dating period,” she says.
