Honda Cars India has revealed the new Honda ZR-V SUV as its flagship SUV in the Indian market. Pre-booking of Honda ZR-V is on. Interested customers can book the SUV online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Pricing is expected to be announced sometime in June, and deliveries will begin in July 2026. The SUV will be purchased through the CBU route in India. This will push its prices into a higher bracket due to import duties and related costs. The SUV is expected to be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). At launch, it competes with Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq, Nissan X-Trail and more.The SUV is based on Honda’s global compact platform, which is a monocoque construction. The architecture supports front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and hybrid powertrains in global markets. In terms of size, the Honda ZR-V measures approximately 4,568 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width and 1,620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of approximately 2,655-2,657 mm.Talking about the powertrain, the ZR-V will be offered with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a dual electric motor. The powerful hybrid engine produces 184hp of power and a combined torque of 315Nm. It is paired with an e-CVT automatic gearbox, which sends power to the front wheels. Honda says the ZR-V can sprint from 0-100kph in 8 seconds. It has an electronically limited top speed of 172kph and a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.79kpl. In global markets, the ZR-V gets all-wheel drive (AWD) and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine.In terms of design, the ZR-V offers a crossover-like design with clean surfaces. At the front, it gets a large grille and wide LED headlamps, which are neatly integrated into the fascia to provide a restrained yet noticeable presence. In profile, the SUV appears lower than typical models, with a sloping roofline and a longer wheelbase, giving it closer to a bulging hatchback than a traditional long SUV.At the rear, it features wraparound LED taillamps, slightly raked rear glass and a simple tailgate layout. A roof-mounted spoiler adds a mild sporty element while maintaining the overall clean design. The outdoor space is positioned as more urban focused than rugged. Going inside, the Honda ZR-V adopts a straightforward cabin design. Controls are arranged logically, with an emphasis on accessibility from the driver’s seat. The infotainment screen is placed as a standalone unit at the top of the dashboard, clearly separated from the physical switchgear below. Honda continues to use traditional button and rotary controls for functions like climate control.The ZR-V Hybrid comes with a dual-screen layout that includes a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen with a 10.25-inch digital instrument display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SUV also gets dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, ambient lighting and a powered tailgate. Honda has equipped the cabin with leather seat upholstery, center armrest for both rows, 8-way power driver’s seat and 4-way power front passenger seat. On the safety front, the ZR-V Hybrid gets eight airbags, level-2 ADAS, tire pressure monitoring system and a 360-degree camera.
