Honda Cars India has recently launched the much anticipated Honda City facelift sedan in the Indian market. The new city includes cosmetic design changes, updated interior, additional features and more. The sedan competes with Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Hyundai Verna in the Indian market. The V trim is priced at Rs 13.29 lakh for the manual and Rs 14.29 lakh for the CVT. The ZX variant is priced at Rs 15.25 lakh for the manual and Rs 16.25 lakh for the CVT. The top-of-the-line ZX+ variant is priced at Rs 16.14 lakh for the manual, Rs 17.14 lakh for the CVT. The strong hybrid variant is priced at Rs 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Verna facelift has received new variant names and is offered in six variants – HX2, HX4, HX6, HX6+, HX8, and HX10. It is priced between Rs 10.98 lakh and Rs 18.25 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).

Honda City Facelift vs Hyundai Verna Facelift: Dimensions The facelifted Hyundai Verna measures 4,535 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, 1,475 mm in height, 2,670 mm wheelbase, 165 mm ground clearance, and 528 liters of boot space. The Honda City facelift measures 4,584 mm in length, 1,748 mm in width, 1,489 mm in height, 2,600 mm in wheelbase, 165 mm in ground clearance, and 506 liters of boot space.Compared to the Honda City facelift, the Hyundai Verna facelift is 49mm shorter, 17mm wider and 14mm lower. The Verna also has a 70 mm longer wheelbase and offers 22 liters more boot space, while both sedans share the same ground clearance of 165 mm.Honda City Facelift vs Hyundai Verna Facelift: Powertrain The Hyundai Verna gets two engine options – a 1.5-litre NA petrol with 115 PS and 143 nm of torque, and is mated to a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic. The other engine option is a 160 hp, 253 nm 1.5-litre turbo petrol mated to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT. The Honda City is offered in two engine options – a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine that produces 121bhp and 145Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed MT or CVT gearbox. It also offers the first hybrid powertrain in the segment, a 1.5 liter Atkinson cycle hybrid engine with 124 hp and 253 Nm of torque. The carmaker claims a fuel efficiency of 27.26 kpl for the hybrid version.

Honda City Facelift vs Hyundai Verna Facelift: Features Moving inside the new Honda City, the overall layout remains the same, but now there are some cosmetic changes. It now includes a large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, 8-speaker sound system, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging pad, a sunroof, rear windscreen sunshade, automatic climate control and more. In terms of safety, it continues to get six airbags, ABS, EBD, TCS, lane watch camera, rain-sensing wipers, hill start assist and Level 2 ADAS.

The Verna facelift features leatherette seat upholstery, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and four-way electrically adjustable front passenger seat, dual 10.25-inch screens, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, Bose speakers, a surround-view camera, a level-2 ASAD, front-seat, central seat, a level-2 AAD. An eight-speaker Bose sound system, a blind spot monitor, a rear window sunshade, connected car tech, a built-in dash cam, seven airbags and more.
