There is a new entrant in India’s ride-hailing market. Green SM Limo, the all-electric cab service operated by Vietnam’s Wing Group, has officially launched its operations in India from 5 June 2026, starting from Delhi-NCR. The company plans to deploy around 10,000 electric vehicles in the NCR region alone. The platform comes as a challenger to players like Ola and Uber. However, it has entered the market with a different business model. Unlike traditional ride-hailing aggregators that rely on driver-owned cars from multiple manufacturers, GreenSM will operate a company-controlled electric fleet. It allows the operator to manage everything from vehicle quality and maintenance to driver training, charging schedules and customer experience. The service will initially use electric vehicles from within the Wing Group ecosystem. The first model expected on Indian roads is the Limo Green MPV. Each taxi will come with onboard amenities like drinking water and wet tissues for passengers. The company is offering a 50 percent discount of up to Rs 250 on rides booked through the app between June 5 and June 11.GreenSM has officially launched its India operations, expanding its presence beyond Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines. Early stage pricing can be one of the biggest advantages of Green SM. According to reports, GreenSM will initially deploy around 1000 electric cars in Delhi-NCR. This story is still developing, and additional details will be updated as more information becomes available.
