Visakhapatnam: GITAM Deemed to be University School of Science is inviting applications for its Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Ph.D. Programs for the 2026 academic year. The University is conducting the All India Level GITAM Entrance Test (GAT-2026) for admitting students to Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bangalore campuses. Dean of the School of Science Professor Anantha Ramakrishna while talking to the media on Monday said that the last date for application is May 14 and the examination will be held on May 17. “Interested candidates are encouraged to read the online instructions carefully and complete their application through the official GITAM portal. Candidates can apply for multiple programs within the same batch.”“The school offers a diverse range of undergraduate programmes, including a four-year B.Sc. Three-year Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) as well as (Hons) degrees in subjects such as Biotechnology, Chemistry, Electronics, Food Science and Technology, Mathematics, Microbiology, and Physics. Students can further customize their education with unique minor degrees in advanced fields such as quantum computing, data science, and bioinformatics. At the postgraduate level, GITAM offers a two-year M.Sc. All major scientific branches and programs of MCA. For researchers, the three-year full-time Ph.D. Programs supported by fellowships are available to promote high-quality innovation,” said Professor Ramakrishna.Dean said that GITAM is implementing a unified student scholarship framework. “Eligible candidates can avail fee waiver ranging from 40% to 100%. In a major initiative to promote basic sciences, students taking admission in B.Sc. Mathematics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Physics, or Electronics will get an additional fee waiver of Rs. 50,000. National exams like CUET, JEE, TS EAMCET, AP EAPCET, or JAM are also eligible to apply.
