Although he is known for his workGame of Thrones‘, Clarke has also worked on the ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Terminator’ franchises. Speaking to Variety, he discussed how some projects, specifically ‘Terminator Genisys’, should never have happened. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film only received a 22% critic rating, while the audience rating only reached 52%.Speaking about it, he added: “’Terminator’? That should never have happened. But it was the jobs that I said yes to, you know what I mean? I went into existing franchises … so when they don’t work out, it’s not personal.”He also added that his show, ‘Secret Invasion’, which entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe, along with ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’, were both very poorly received. “I don’t think anyone liked that show, guys. I’m sorry!”, he further commented.No matter how those failures affected her, Clarke is now more determined about what she’s working on. He shared in the interview that he is much more selective with the projects he greenlights compared to the way he used to be. “My connection with a project ends when they say ‘Picture wrap’. Because it’s not up to me to decide what people will think,” he concluded.On the work front, Clarke last appeared in the animated film ‘The Twits’ last year. He is then gearing up for his next film, ‘Next Life’, which is currently in post-production and focuses on Ivy as she navigates love and life through a series of parallel universes and different timelines. He will work alongside Édgar Ramírez, Femi Koleoso and Jack Farthing.
