‘Drishyam 3’ actress Ansiba Hassan has made several allegations against actors association AMMA and actor Tiny Tom. The former joint secretary of the organization claimed that there was a conspiracy against him within AMMA and complained that there is little point in filing complaints within the association.Speaking to Manorama News Online, Ansiba said that he had earlier approached the organization about the problems he was facing. However, he said no significant action had been taken. According to the actor, his experience in the association eventually led to a loss of confidence in the complaint mechanism available to members.
Claims of harassment after police report
Ansiba also alleged that a former executive committee filed a false police complaint against him. He said the complaint led to interrogation and harassment at the Thrippunithura police station.According to Ansiba, he spent almost three hours dealing with the issue at the police station. He then asked AMMA to investigate the circumstances surrounding the complaint.The actor said that when he raised the matter within the organization, he was informed that there was little the association could do. He also alleged that Tiny Tom ignored the issue and questioned the seriousness of the complaint.
Tiny Tom was the reason for his resignation
One of Ansiba’s harshest complaints was about his decision to resign from the post of joint secretary. The actor said that Tiny Tom was the main reason why he left the organization.According to him, differences of opinion on various organizational issues gradually turned into personal conflicts. Ansiba complained that whenever she expressed a different opinion, he took it personally and used it against her.She said, “Neena Kurup was the one who told me that they have been saying these things about me. Just because my name is Ansiba Hassan, people say that I am trying to convert others to Islam? I may have different opinions on many issues, but does that justify spreading such stories about me? Little Tom has abused Neena Kurup in a very common way. I have heard that he also raised his hand as if to hit Neena Kurup. I was afraid to talk about these things publicly because I was worried that it might bring the organization into disrepute or affect my career. Character assassination has crossed all boundaries. I sent voicemails to all senior members of AMMA saying that Tiny Tom was the reason for my resignation.”
Allegedly defamatory stories circulated
Ansiba also accused Tiny Tom of spreading false stories about him among people in the industry. He complained that the stories were not relayed directly to him, but spread among others and finally reached him through third parties.The actor said that the intention behind these stories was to damage his reputation and credibility.Speaking about the nature of the alleged rumours, Ansiba said character assassination remains one of the most damaging forms of violence against women.She stated: “Tiny Tom is spreading false and inappropriate stories about me. He doesn’t tell me these things directly. Instead, he tells other people, and these stories eventually reach my ears through them. One of the easiest ways to tarnish a woman’s reputation is to spread stories of alleged affairs or illicit relationships. That way, it’s very easy to destroy a woman.”
