Daisy Shah his Bollywood breakthrough may backfire Salman Khan In Jai Ho, but before that, the actor had given up on one of his films. In a recent interview, Daisy recalled the difficult moment when she said no Salman Khan’s bodyguard and then revealed how tense the atmosphere was.
Daisy Shah says ditching Salman Khan was not easy
Talking about the event, Daisy admitted that she mentally prepared herself for days before her interview with Salman Khan.“I had to prepare for a week in the mirror. I had to gather my courage to say what I had to say to him,” she shared with Bollywood Bubble.The actor also revealed that he has a habit of replaying dialogues in his mind and thinking about how he could have responded differently.“Toh mere case mein kya hota hai na ki koi bhi interview hone ke baad main analysis karti hoon ki, ‘Oh shit, mujhe aise jawab dena chahiye tha. Mujhe aise bolna chahiye tha.” Toh mera after thinking zyada hota hai. First hand primary thought karti hi nahi hoon,” said Daisy.
Daisy recalls Salman Khan’s reaction
Daisy Shah described Salman Khan’s reaction after he turned down the Bodyguard offer, admitting that the silence in the room was endless.“There was a silence in the room for a good five or seven minutes. Five or seven minutes is too long. At the time, it felt very long. It’s still very long dictated by a situation like this. And main andar hi andar bol rahi thi, ‘Please say something, please say something’. And only one thing came out of his mouth. He said, ‘OK,'” he recalled.When asked if Salman Khan was upset, Daisy defended him and stated that she was processing the situation.“Woh bhi toh human hai na. He must be processing his stuff too,” she explained.

Despite the awkward moment, Daisy had nothing but kind words for Salman Khan and praised the actor for always taking care of those close to him.“It’s the same. I think he’s one of the most caring souls you’ll ever meet, whether it’s on set, whether it’s in his personal life, whatever it is. If you’re under his wing, he’ll take care of you, no matter what,” he said.Before becoming an actress, Daisy Shah worked as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya. She later ventured into South cinema and appeared in several songs before approaching Salman Khan for Bodyguard.The role eventually went away Hazel KeechDaisy, on the other hand, chose to wait for a role that she felt better aligned with her acting aspirations. Almost a year and a half later, Salman contacted her again and asked her to audition for Jai Ho. He eventually landed the role and rose to fame with the 2014 film.
