CSIR NPL started recruitment drive for Technician for 20 Vacancies. Offline applications will close on June 30.

CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL), New Delhi has issued notification for Technician (1) Recruitment 2026 vide Advertisement No. Rectt./02/2026. The recruitment process has been started for 20 posts in various technical trades including Electronics, Electrical, COPA, Multimedia, Photographer and Mechanic Motor Vehicle.The notification was issued on May 28, 2026, and the application process will be open till June 30, 2026. Eligible candidates need to apply through offline mode by downloading the application form from the official website and submitting it along with supporting documents and fee, where applicable.Vacancy details and salary structureCSIR-NPL works under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Selected candidates will be posted in pay level-02 with pay scale of Rs.500 to Rs. 19,900 to Rs 63,200. The basic salary is Rs. 19,900, while the approximate monthly charges are Rs. 44,428.Applicants should be between 18 and 28 years of age as on June 30, 2026. Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC (NCL) PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other eligible categories as per Government of India and CSIR norms.Candidates must have passed Class 10 with minimum 55% marks along with ITI certification in relevant trade. Alternatively, candidates with three years of apprenticeship training or relevant trade experience are also eligible.Selection Process and Examination SchemeThe selection process will include screening of applications, trade test, written test and document verification. The trade test will be qualifying in nature.The written test will consist of three papers. Paper-I will be a mental aptitude test consisting of 50 questions of 100 marks of one hour duration. Paper-II will cover General Awareness and English Language, each section will have 25 questions for 75 marks, 30 minutes allotted per section. Paper III will cover relevant technical subject with 50 questions of 150 marks, to be completed in one hour.Application process and submission detailsApplicants should download the prescribed application form from www.nplindia.in and fill it carefully. The form must be accompanied by self-attested copies of documents, recent passport size photographs and a demand draft of Rs. 500, if applicable. Candidate’s name and postcode should be written on the back of the demand draft.The envelope should be superscribed “Application for the Post of Technician(1) – (Post Code No___)” and addressed to Senior Controller of Administration, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, Dr. KS Krishnan Marg, New Delhi-110012. Applications must reach the office on or before 30 June 2026.
