New Delhi: Five-time champion Chennai Super Kings They crashed out of IPL 2026 in disastrous fashion after suffering their biggest ever defeat on Thursday, as Gujarat Titans cruised to an emphatic 89-run win at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.The resounding victory not only helped Gujarat Titans sign off their league stage campaign in style but also cemented their second position in the points table with 18 points from 14 games heading into the IPL 2026 playoffs. They are just behind table toppers and defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who also have 18 points but have a higher net run rate and a game in hand.For CSK, however, the defeat officially ended their playoff hopes and ended a disappointing campaign with their heaviest defeat in the IPL so far.
