They are just behind table toppers and defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who also have 18 points but have a higher net run rate and a game in hand.For CSK, however, the defeat officially ended their playoff hopes and ended a disappointing campaign with their heaviest defeat in the IPL so far.
