RM recalls convincing the label not to change the lyrics
While speaking with Rolling Stone, Jung Kook was asked about his successful collaboration ‘Seven’ with Latto, and he shared how he felt about the song’s explicit lyrics. “I wasn’t shy,” Jung Kook (born Jeon Jung-kook), 28, said of the letters. “I was like, ‘so what?'” RM then chimed in and said he was the one who stepped in when the label execs were unsure about the lyrics. “I said to the label, ‘Please don’t change! Why not? Everything has grown. He can sing an f-word,’” RM, 31, said.In October 2023, ‘Seven’ became the fastest song in Spotify history to reach 1 billion streams. It also topped Billboard’s Global 200.
RM says Jung Kook almost performed at the 2024 Super Bowl
In his interview with Rolling Stone, RM also revealed that Jung Kook almost performed solo at the 2024 Super Bowl. “Usher invited before the military, but it didn’t work because of the military,” he claimed. Jung Kook couldn’t do it because his mandatory military service started in December 2023 Jimin. In South Korea, all able-bodied men aged 18-28 must serve 18 to 21 months in the military.
