Brooke Shields doesn’t take “NO” for an answer
Staying passionate and resilient in Hollywood, Brooke found ways to explore her own paths and grow without dwelling on the negative aspects. “I think what I’ve struggled with the whole time is a diverse creative career,” he said in an interview on The Bosssticks podcast. Furthermore, the actress recalled that her mother taught her not to take no for an answer. “And you know, it’s easier said than done, but I would say, oh, okay, you don’t want me right now. Someone will, so I’ll get back to you,” he explained. Trying new things helped her keep herself busy and creative instead of dwelling on the rejection she faced. “I think that helped me through the darkest times, when I wasn’t getting what I really wanted and dreamed of; it kept me busy and creative,” he says. In a place like Hollywood, where every face and every skill shines differently, the actor realized early on that comparing himself to others wouldn’t help. Although this method is difficult to practice in an industry where every small update is compared, he tried not to put himself in anyone’s shoes. However, it is important to play by the rules from time to time. “But don’t let them tell you that because you’re not this or that, you’re somehow worthless,” she said.
