FWICE Chairman BN Tiwari responds to Poonam Dhillon over Ranveer Singh 'Don 3' controversy;

The controversy surrounding actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 3’ has taken center stage after the ‘Dhurandhar’ star walked out of the project. Now, FWICE Chairman BN Tiwari reacted to the comments made by CINTAA Chairman Poonam Dhillon. Tiwari said that he had already contacted him and asked him to help resolve the issue if he knew Ranveer personally.While talking to HTCity, Poonam shared that she doesn’t know all the details and doesn’t want to give an unbiased opinion. He said FWICE should take CINTAA into confidence because they are affiliates and could help solve the problem.He said: “Prohibition is a very strong word for any actor, especially a working boy, a role model who has made it big with his talent.”

Poonam says she didn’t inform

Poonam also shared that usually an artist contacts CINTAA to help resolve such issues. But in this case, no one contacted them and they only heard about it through the media. He added: “Usually the artist approaches us and asks us to be a party to resolve the dispute, but in this case the artist did not, we did not know and we found out from the media, that is not the right way.”

BN Tiwari gives his side

FWICE Chairman BN Tiwari also reacted to Poonam’s comments. He said that he had already written a letter to him asking him to mediate in the matter if he knew Ranveer well. He also said that they have received letters from director Ashoke Pandit’s association and the filmmaker seeking the ‘ZNMD’ actor’s support in his role as a filmmaker.“I wrote a letter to her (Poonam Dhillon) that if she knows Ranveer well, she should mediate and resolve this matter. However, this is not her department. We got a letter from the director’s association and Ashoke Pandit to support Farhan as a filmmaker,” he said.Tiwari added that it is impossible to call all associations for meetings. He also said that he tried to call Poonam after her comments, but she did not answer his calls.

FWICE says it is not a ban

Tiwari made it clear that FWICE is not trying to ban Ranveer Singh. He said that the federation only wants the actor to appear and explain his side of the story.He said, “All we have said is that we will not work with Ranveer until we share our version of the case.”He also added that anyone willing to help resolve the issue is welcome.
