BMW has launched the M440i in India, expanding its M Performance line-up and introducing a new drop-top model to the market. The model is priced at Rs 1.09 crore, ex-showroom. Here’s a quick look at what’s on offer.
BMW M440i Convertible: Key Specifications
Based on the 4 Series platform, the M440i Convertible features a fabric soft-top roof, which can be opened or closed in just 18 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h. Design-wise, it features BMW’s latest styling cues, including slim LED headlamps with distinctive DRL signatures, a large kidney grille and aggressive air intakes up front. The side profile features 19-inch alloy wheels, M badge and a wind deflector behind the front seats, while the rear seats get sleek LED tail lamps, an integrated boot lid spoiler and a sporty diffuser.The BMW M440i Convertible is offered in a wide range of exterior color options: Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Portimão Blue, Arctic Race Blue, Brooklyn Grey, Cape York Green and Fire Red.
Inside, the M440i Convertible offers a four-seat layout with a 14.9-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system with a fully digital instrument cluster. It is also equipped with a heads-up display, powered sports seats with memory function, ambient lighting, wireless charging and a 12-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, along with automatic climate control and other premium features.Under the hood, the M440i Convertible is powered by a 3.0-litre, inline six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. It produces 374 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system. It can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.9 seconds. Performance is a key feature, with the M440i capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 4.9 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
