Bad Bunny Joins 'Toy Story 5' As 'Pizza With Sunglasses', Forgotten Toy With Attitude

Bad Bunny will enter the ‘Toy Story’ universe in the most unexpected and fitting role imaginable. Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will voice a sunglasses-wearing toy that looks like a slice of pizza in the highly-anticipated ‘Toy Story 5,’ which hits theaters June 19. The character is called Pizza with Sunglasses, and Bad Bunny, 32, has a voice cameo in the role.According to a Disney release, the character is described as “effortlessly cool and mysterious,” a member of a small but powerful community of forgotten toys living in an abandoned backyard shed.

Bad Bunny’s acting career beyond ‘Toy Story 5’

The casting marks another chapter in Bad Bunny’s burgeoning screen career. He previously showed his acting skills in the 2022 action film ‘Bullet Train’, last year’s ‘Caught Stealing’ and ‘Happy Gilmore 2’, as well as ‘Saturday Night Live’. Upcoming projects include the historical drama ‘Puerto Rico’, the directorial debut of rapper René Pérez Joglar aka René Pérez Joglar.Bad Bunny is touring the world on the ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour’ which will end in July.

The full ‘Toy Story 5’ voice cast

‘Toy Story 5’ is directed by Andrew Stanton, writer of the long-loved franchise, and brings in Oscar-winning composer Randy Newman to compose the film’s score. These include Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz, Joan Cusack as Jessie and Tony Hale as Forky.New additions to the voice cast include Greta Lee as a tech toy tablet called Lilypad, Conan O’Brien as Smarty Pants potty toy, Craig Robinson as Atlas the GPS hippopotamus, Shelby Rabara as Snappy toy camera, and Krys Marshall in an unknown role. Alan Cumming has also been introduced as Evil Bullseye, described as the playtime alter ego of Woody’s otherwise non-speaking faithful toy horse.A new trailer for the film shows Jessie helping her friends collect toys to fight Lilypad and befriend baby Bonnie, played by Scarlett Spears. ‘Toy Story 5’ hits theaters on June 19.
