What the team said about the comeback
The group kept it clean in its statement. “Some of us guys play golf, we play in a team. For us, that band is Violent Soho and we missed making noise together.” After more than 20 years together, they added that they’ve learned not to force things, but now feels like the right time to get back together.
The WACO’s anniversary and what’s new
This announcement follows a renewed focus on their acclaimed fourth album ‘WACO’, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a new vinyl release.
Who is Violent Soho?
Formed in 2004 in Mansfield, Brisbane, Violent Soho became one of the most important Australian guitar bands of their time. Loud, sharp and unpretentious, they collected ARIA awards, platinum singles and numerous number one albums, and songs like ‘Covered in Chrome’ became staples of the triple j generation. The band later took a step back from concerts in 2022.
