Speaking to Hindustan Times, Arunoday Singh spoke against such behavior and said that it should not be tolerated in our society. The actor believed that the government, the elderly and society as a whole should step up and take responsibility. “I think right now we need to take a very hard look at ourselves as a society and as a country. Although I agree with the school and the rest, there’s got to be somebody looking out for you too. The government, society and elders seem to disapprove of certain behaviors. They have to censor certain behaviors. Laws and consequences are assumed and suddenly it feels like the wild west. I pray for the future,” he said.He went a step further and questioned how common such behavior has become in today’s times. “How are we here now? How is this us? It boggles my mind, and no one is doing anything as it is allowed,” he said.

The whole issue started when web developer Himanshu Jangra went on comedian Pranit More’s show and said he was expecting sexual favors from a woman he took on a date because he spent Rs 370 on her biryani. His comments went viral on social media and angered many people. Himanshu lost his job because of this. Pranit also faced a lot of criticism for not stopping Himanshu and laughing at his comments. People were angry with him for awarding Himanshu cash and sharing the clip online. Pranit deleted his Instagram account after the backlash, but later came back and posted a video on his show apologizing for what happened.
