For actors Aneet PaddaMay was full of grueling shoots and long schedules when she wrapped up work on the horror comedy ‘Shakti Shalini’. The film achieved a major milestone recently after the director Aditya Sarpotdar called wrap on May 27 during the last part of the shoot at Chitrarth studio in Powai. The finale program reportedly featured a grand sequence showing the protagonist’s victory over the dark forces.
Aneet Padda’s double role with a supernatural twist
The latest addition to the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe will see Aneet in a challenging dual role. She essays the characters of Shakti, an ordinary woman who becomes a savior, and Shalini, a dangerous spirit driven by revenge. The story centers on Shalini’s rage after suffering betrayal and a brutal death by targeting men. The narrative eventually builds towards a dramatic confrontation between the ghostly force and Shakti.According to Mid-Day reports, massive sets were built depicting a Rajasthani village and the interior of a house. The sequence shows the people of the village, especially the women, celebrating the defeat of evil. The work of ‘Shakti Shalini’ went on at a brisk pace after the production started in March. Earlier this month, the cast and crew traveled extensively across Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to shoot some of the film’s most crucial scenes.According to insiders, “Viineet, who portrays the antagonist, and Aneet shot the climax in Chambal, Datia, Antri, Panihar, Gwalior and Morena in Madhya Pradesh. Important portions were shot in Dholpur and Barkhandi in Rajasthan. Nana Patekar and Seema Biswas He joined the unit in May.”Apart from Aneet Padda, the horror comedy also stars Vishal Jethwa and Viineet Kumar Siingh in important roles.
