Now, reports say that the makers deliberately chose the title ‘Raaka’ following the successful formula used in ‘Pushpa’, where the lead character’s name itself became the film’s identity.

According to Hindustan Times, director Atlee wanted the title to revolve entirely around Allu Arjun’s character, just as Pushparaj became a national sensation in ‘Pushpa’. Instead of selecting a common title based on the story, the team decided to turn the name of the hero’s character into a powerful film brand. The makers believe that ‘Raaka’ can create the same emotional connect with audiences across India. Fans also noticed unique markings on Allu Arjun’s forehead in the poster, which resemble Viking-style tattoos. This has increased the curiosity towards the action-packed rugged world of the film.
Atlee calls it ‘Raaka’ his 18-year-old dream project
After launching the first look, Atlee shared an emotional message about the project on social media. He said, “Raaka is not just a movie. It is an idea that I have carried in my heart for 18 years. Even after facing many challenges, I never gave up on this story.” His statement made fans even more excited about the film.
