Friday’s knock was also statistically unique in another surprising way.Known for breaking the bowling attack from the very first ball, Suryavanshi registered the “slowest” fifty of his IPL career during the innings. He completed his half-century in 29 balls, less than his previous slowest IPL fifty which was made in 27 balls against Chennai Super Kings earlier this season.This itself highlights the ridiculous standards that the youngster has set in IPL 2026.It was already his eighth 50-plus score of the season, and on five of the previous seven occasions he had reached the milestone in 17 balls or less.Records were broken during another fearless innings.Suryavanshi’s latest innings was full of records and milestones. During the nose, he also became the fastest batsman in IPL history to reach 1000 runs in terms of balls faced.He achieved the milestone in just 440 balls, breaking the previous record held by Andre Russell, who hit 545 balls.The RR opener has also completely dominated the powerplay overs this season.
